White Ford Transit passenger van for Rio Grande Taxi

Plan a transfer from Rio Grande to El Portal de El Yunque Visitor Center at Carr. 191, Km 4.2, in Rio Grande. Give the visitor center's full name when requesting your ride so the destination is clear from the start.

Check visitor access before traveling

Review the Forest Service's current visitor information for opening hours, admission details and any access notices. Conditions can change, so check again near your visit. This request is for transportation to El Portal. Admission, guided activities and travel farther into El Yunque must be arranged and confirmed separately. A taxi booking does not establish permission to enter restricted forest areas.

Use the visitor center as the destination

El Portal de El Yunque Visitor Center is at Carr. 191, Km 4.2. Naming this destination helps distinguish your requested drop-off from other places in El Yunque. Do not treat a visitor-center transfer as a booking for trails, waterfalls or stops elsewhere in the forest.

Prepare for the rest of your visit

Check what you intend to do at the visitor center and allow time for any admission process. Review official information close to the travel date. Discuss any onward transportation before setting out; a one-way drop-off does not establish later vehicle availability or permission for other forest access.

Confirm the transfer details

Send your Rio Grande pickup address, date, preferred time, passenger count and any equipment. Ask whether the requested drop-off can be accommodated under current access rules and confirm the fare before booking. Make your onward travel arrangements before leaving; waiting or later pickup is not included unless explicitly agreed. Call or WhatsApp 7875088304 to check availability for this visitor-center transfer.
